TEAM NOTES

  • The Revolution have picked up points in nine of their 13 road contests so far this season, posting a 4-4-5 mark.
  • Tonight is the 85th regular season meeting between the two MLS original clubs. They back on March 1 in New England's home opener, with the visiting Crew claiming a 1-0 victory in Foxborough.
  • New England's nine clean sheets are tied for second most in MLS, one shy of tying the club record (10), last achieved in three straight seasons from 2005-07.

  • M Alhassan Yusuf ranks in the top five among MLS midfielders this season with 161 possessions won (third) and 97 combined tackles and interceptions (fourth).
  • Homegrown D Peyton Miller makes a sixth straight start, looking to add to his one goal and two assists on the season.
  • Head Coach Caleb Porter makes his second trip back to Columbus to face his former team, looking to improve on his 3-5-1 record against the Crew.

NEW ENGLAND - COLUMBUS CONNECTIONS

  • New England Head Coach Caleb Porter managed Columbus from 2019-2022, leading the Crew to the 2020 MLS Cup and 2021 Campeones Cup titles.
  • Revolution assistant coaches Pablo Moreira and Blair Gavin also coached in Columbus under Porter.
  • From 2013-17, Porter coached Crew midfielder Darlington Nagbe with the Portland Timbers before reuniting with him in Columbus. Nagbe also played for Porter at Akron from 2008-10.
