- Bruce Arena, coaching his 100th MLS regular season match with the New England Revolution, deploys two changes to his Starting XI from last Saturday’s win at Orlando City SC with Emmanuel Boateng and Damian Rivera starting in place of Matt Polster (illness) and Maciel (leg injury).
- Tonight’s Starting XI includes two Homegrown Players in midfielder Damian Rivera of Cranston, R.I. and forward Justin Rennicks of South Hamilton, Mass. The Revolution Academy alumni start together in Major League Soccer for the first time.
- Rennicks collects his third consecutive start tonight, while Rivera features in the starting lineup for the fourth time this season.
- Djordje Petrović is looking to become the first Revolution goalkeeper to collect four consecutive shutouts since Bobby Shuttleworth in 2013, also the last time the club accomplished the feat. - Andrew Farrell pairs with Kessler in central defense as he registers his 22nd appearance of the season, all starts.
- Brandon Bye records his 125th MLS appearance tonight and is 51 minutes away from eclipsing 10,000 in MLS regular season play.
- Carles Gil returns to the Revolution after playing 45 minutes in Wednesday’s 2022 MLS All-Star Game. Gil owns two goals and three assists in seven career appearances against D.C. United.
- Tommy McNamara owns three goals and six assists in 13 career games against the Black and Red. The midfielder logged his third career multi-assist game last Saturday in Orlando.
- Wilfrid Kaptoum, who scored his first goal of the season and second with the club last weekend at Orlando, has now started 11 of the last 13 games. The Revolution are 4-2-5 when Kaptoum starts this season.
- Emmanuel Boateng suits up for his sixth start of the season and his 10th in a Revolution uniform. The seventh-year midfielder spent parts of two seasons with D.C. United (2019-2020).

- Esmir Bajraktarevic appears on New England’s MLS matchday roster for the first time. The 17-year-old was signed as the club’s ninth Homegrown Player in May and represented the Revolution in the inaugural MLS NEXT All-Star Game on Wednesday, playing 45 minutes.
- Fellow Homegrown Player Noel Buck, 17 of Arlington, Mass., makes his fifth appearance on the Revolution’s MLS bench as he also seeks his MLS debut.
- Bajraktarevic and Buck have each made 15 appearances in 2022 for Revolution II in MLS NEXT Pro.
- Defenders Jon Bell, Ben Reveno, and Ryan Spaulding all ascended to the first team roster after developing with Revolution II.
- Christian Makoun appears on the Revolution’s matchday roster for the second time since joining New England from Charlotte FC last week. Makoun has played in 13 matches, including eight starts, in 2022.
- Earl Edwards Jr. spent two seasons with D.C. United and featured often for Loudoun United from 2019-20.
