FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The New England Revolution visit Inter Miami CF this afternoon at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The nationally televised match kicks off at 3:00 p.m. ET and airs on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, 98.5 The Sports Hub, and 1260 AM Nossa Radio (Portuguese).

Lineup Notes:

  • Today’s Starting XI features two changes from last Saturday’s match against New York as defender Ryan Spaulding and midfielder Arnór Traustason start in place of Brandon Bye and Jozy Altidore.
  • Brad Knighton suits up for his second consecutive start in net after registering a five-save effort last Saturday against the Red Bulls. Knighton posted a shutout win in his only previous start against the Herons.
  • Justin Rennicks also features on New England’s starting lineup for the second straight game. The Homegrown Player from South Hamilton, Mass. and two-time Revolution Academy Player of the Year (2014 and 2015) makes his third career start at the MLS level.
  • Captain Carles Gil owns two assists in as many appearances against Miami. Gil enters the weekend ranking T-3rd in MLS with 16 chances created.
  • Arnór Traustason (2) is tied with Adam Buksa for the team lead with two career goals scored against the Herons. Traustason and Buksa each logged a brace in New England’s first-ever trip to DRV PNK Stadium, a 5-0 win on July 21, 2021.
  • Sebastian Lletget has netted one goal with one assist through his first five MLS appearances in a Revolution uniform. Lletget’s next goal will be his 25th in MLS regular season play.
  • Tommy McNamara remains the lone Revolution player to start every MLS contest this season. McNamara’s 15 tackles this season are tied for 10th-most among MLS midfielders.
  • Matt Polster (9,832) moves closer to 10,000 minutes played in MLS. The seventh-year midfielder collects his 40th start with New England since joining the club in June 2020.
  • DeJuan Jones starts at right back for the first time since Nov. 1, 2020. He is now one start shy of his 75th in MLS regular season action. The 24-year-old ranks tied for third among MLS defenders in chances created this season with eight.
  • Ryan Spaulding makes the second start of his debut MLS campaign. The Revolution II graduate played all 90 minutes in his MLS debut on March 12 against Real Salt Lake.
  • Andrew Farrell and Henry Kessler form the Revolution’s pairing in central defense for the second straight match after both returned from injuries that limited their early-season action.

Bench Notes:

  • A.J. DeLaGarza played for Inter Miami CF during the club’s inaugural season in 2020. DeLaGarza started five matches for the Herons, helping the club to its first-ever MLS Cup Playoffs appearance.
  • Jozy Altidore, who grew up in Boca Raton, Fla., has appeared in all five MLS matches this season, in addition to both SCCL contests. The veteran striker owns one goal on six shots in 2022.
  • Damian Rivera, a Homegrown Player from Cranston, Rhode Island, appears on New England’s matchday roster for the first time in 2022. Rivera has netted three goals over two appearances with Revolution II in MLS Next Pro action this season.
  • Noel Buck, another Homegrown Player from Arlington, Mass., appears on the MLS matchday roster for the first time. Buck celebrated his 17th birthday earlier this week.
  • Emmanuel Boateng has logged three goals and five assists in 16 regular season and playoff appearances with the Revolution.
  • Omar Gonzalez is three appearances away from 250 MLS regular season games played.
  • The Revolution are 14-3-6 when second-year midfielder Wilfrid Kaptoum appears in a match.
