CURRENT FORM

New England Revolution
3rd in Eastern Conference (18-11-4, 58 pts.)
Last Result | 2-1 loss vs. Inter Miami CF

The Revolution suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Inter Miami at Gillette Stadium last weekend, placing them one point below the second-place team in the Eastern Conference standings. Although New England have clinched a postseason berth, a top-three finish in the East, and a spot in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, they remain in contention with Miami for playoff seeding entering Saturday’s Decision Day clash with Orlando City.

Prior to last match, the Revs were on a four-game winning streak. New England have been victorious in seven of their last 10 games and remain hungry for points as they travel to Orlando. Hosting the Lions just under two months ago, the Revolution scored a pair of stoppage-time goals in a dramatic 4-2 win.

Orlando City SC
9th in Eastern Conference (12-14-7, 43 pts.)
Last Result | 4-0 loss at Charlotte FC

Despite falling 4-0 at Charlotte FC last week, Orlando clinched a spot in the postseason and are currently seeded to compete in the Wild Card Match. The Lions will be vying for points as they look to secure a spot in the Round One Best-of-3-Series and are currently winless in their last three outings (0-1-2).

Orlando have been a threatening attacking side, owning the fifth-strongest attack in the East with 62 goals. On the other hand, Orlando have allowed 78 goals this season, the most in the East and the second-most leaguewide.

KEY PLAYERS

Revolution midfielder Dániel Gazdag
Dániel Gazdag has quickly grown comfortable in New England. Since joining the Revolution in early September, he’s started seven of his 11 appearances. The midfielder has scored in each of the last two matches, bringing his season tally to three goals with the club and boosting his confidence as Decision Day approaches.

The Hungarian attacker has six seasons of MLS experience, including four trips to the playoffs. With 69 career goals and 37 assists, Gazdag has proven his attacking quality and could play a key role as New England closes the regular season and turns their attention to the playoffs.

Orlando forward Antoine Griezmann
Antoine Griezmann has hit the ground running since first appearing for Orlando in July. In just 17 appearances, the legendary French attacker has logged 14 goals and eight assists. He recently made history with the Lions, becoming the second-fastest player to reach 20 goal contributions in league history, accomplishing the feat in 15 games.

Prior to Orlando’s last outing against Charlotte, Griezmann was on a five-match scoring streak and has logged six goals, five assists in his last seven games. Griezmann missed the September meeting between these two sides through injury, but could be a key factor in Orlando's push for playoff positioning.

HEAR FROM THE TEAM

Head coach Marko Mitrović on approaching Saturday’s match at Orlando as a chance to build momentum before the playoffs:
“For me, it's more just to keep doing what we are doing. It's another game for us, it's another great challenge. I think if we go to our last seven, eight games, every game was like a playoff game. Somebody asked me the last [press conference], if it's kind of ‘do-or-die’ games. It felt like it was kind of the last game of the season and everything is on the table, and I think this game is going to be another game like that. Those games can really help all of us to keep growing, myself as a coach, players as players, us as a team, and challenge us. I'm always happy when we have these kinds of games ahead of us.”

Assistant coach Sean Hughes on looking forward to this weekend’s Decision Day match at Orlando City SC:
“It’s an exciting game. I think both teams are still fighting for positions. It’s a game where we always go to win and I’m sure Orlando will go in with that same mentality. They’re a good team, very strong in possession as well. We’re excited and we’re looking forward to another good test.”

Defender Ethan Kohler on putting forth a strong performance in the regular season finale on Saturday:
“It's super important, and as I kind of always say, every game is super important. Obviously, with the international break following it, it's always nice to go out of that with a good feeling. I think over these past games we've been doing the right things, and in the training session today we continued to do so. I have no doubt that we're going to put in a very good performance on Saturday that'll carry us well into the break.”
