RECENT FORM VS. VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC

Meetings between the Revs and Whitecaps have been rare in recent years, as this will be just the second time these teams have squared off in the past five seasons. That lone previous encounter came back in June 2022, when the Revs went to BC Place and came home from the Pacific Northwest with a point from a 0-0 draw. It's been almost five years since the Whitecaps visited Foxborough, as the last meeting at Gillette Stadium came all the way back in July 2019, when Gustavo Bou scored a memorable debut goal in the Revolution's 4-0 win. That triumph is part of New England's five-game unbeaten run in the series (3-0-2) dating back to 2016.

Ema Boateng came off the bench to score a late game winner and Aljaž Ivačič made five saves to keep a clean sheet (and earn MLS Player of the Matchday) in the Revolution's (4-10-1, 13 pts.) 1-0 win over the New York Red Bulls this past weekend. The victory was New England's second straight following their 2-1 triumph in Nashville the previous weekend, giving them back-to-back league wins for the first time in 2024 and building a bit of momentum heading into Saturday night's clash with the Whitecaps. A solid defensive foundation has guided the Revs through those two victories, as they've conceded just a single goal, and that from the penalty spot.

The Whitecaps (7-5-4, 25 pts.) have been one of the league's best road teams through the first half of the season, going 4-2-2 on their first eight road trips to help lift them to fifth place in the Western Conference standings. They'll come to Foxborough well rested having not played since June 1, and the Canadian side is in good form, having won back-to-back games before heading into the international break. Vancouver has been strongest defensively, as their 19 goals against are tied for second-fewest in the West at the midway point of the season.

After closing their brief two-game homestand on Saturday night, the Revs will return to the road next weekend for a visit to defending Supporters' Shield champion FC Cincinnati.

Overall Record vs. Vancouver: 5-2-4
Home Record vs. Vancouver: 4-1-1

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 4, Whitecaps 0 (July 17, 2019)
Last meeting at BC Place: Revs 0, Whitecaps 0 (June 26, 2022)

SHOW YOUR COLORS

Saturday night the Revolution will be wearing the "Boston Tea Party" kit, which will serve as the club's primary uniform for the 2024 and 2025 MLS seasons.

Inspired by Boston's proud history of positive defiance, the kit commemorates the recent 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in December 1773. The shirt design is highlighted by red and white vertical waves on the jersey's front, which represent the ripples in the Boston Harbor made by East India Training Company's tea creates as the American revolutionaries emptied 45 tons of tea into the water.

The navy jersey features red shoulders with three white stripes, a throwback to earlier Revolution jerseys, paired with navy shorts and navy socks, featuring red and white striping on top.
