RECENT FORM VS. PHILADELPHIA UNION

The Revs have had plenty of recent success against the Union, going unbeaten in their last four meetings (3-0-1) in all competitions, including their victory in Round One of the 2020 Eastern Conference Playoffs. That stretch has turned the tables in the series, which was dominated by Philadelphia from 2015-2020 as the Revs went just 1-10-3 during a 14-game stretch in the regular season.

Jim Curtin's side should be well rested having not played midweek, eliminated from the U.S. Open Cup in the Round of 32 in mid-May. Philadelphia enters the weekend on top of the Eastern Conference standings and unbeaten in six, although that stretch included five straight draws before last weekend's 2-0 road win over the Portland Timbers. Still, the Union have lost just one game this season, while every other team in MLS has at least three defeats.

The Revs, meanwhile, were in action midweek, playing 120 minutes on Wednesday night in a 1-0 loss to New York City FC in the Open Cup Round of 16. New England, which used a heavily rotated lineup in Queens, has been resurgent in the league, going 2-0-2 in their last four games while scoring multiple goals in seven straight, a club record. Last weekend they got a trio of stunning goals from Sebastian Lletget, Adam Buksa, and Tommy McNamara - all assisted by Brandon Bye - in their first road win of the season, 3-2 over FC Cincinnati.

Saturday night is a battle of the 2021 (Revolution) and 2020 (Union) Supporters' Shield winners, and it's shaping up to be a must-see match in Foxborough.

Overall Record vs. Union: 8-17-7
Home Record vs. Union: 4-6-4

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 2, Union 1 (August 8, 2021)
Last meeting at Subaru Park: Revs 1, Union 0 (September 3, 2021)

PRIMEBLUE JERSEYS

Major League Soccer and adidas are once again raising awareness and inspiring action surrounding the impact of marine plastic waste by featuring customized Primeblue uniforms made from a high-performance recycled material and Parley Ocean Plastic™. The jerseys will be worn on field by MLS clubs May 27-29.

Committed to taking steps to address its environmental impact, MLS and adidas teamed up to create Primeblue jerseys which are made from plastics intercepted from beaches, coastal communities, and shorelines, preventing them from polluting the ocean. Once collected, the original plastic source is reworked into technical fibers that can then be repurposed for use in either apparel or footwear. The high-performance yarn features more than 50% Parley Ocean Plastic™ on each jersey.
