PRIDE NIGHT

The Revs will once again celebrate leaders of the local LGBTQIA community when they host their annual Pride Night on Wednesday evening at Gillette Stadium. As part of the club's commitment to combatting discrimination and violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity, the Revolution will show solidarity with the LGBTQIA community throughout the stadium while recognizing local organizations and individuals leading the ongoing pursuit of equal rights.

In addition to partnering with BAGLY for Wednesday night's Drive Series presented by Dan O'Brien Automotive Group, a representative of BAGLY's Youth Leadership Council will be honored as the Hero of the Match. Meanwhile, the national anthem will be performed by Joseph Porter of The Theater Offensive, the Boston Strikers Soccer Club will be in attendance hosting activations, and Revolution players will wear adidas Love Unites training tops during warmups, with several also wearing Essential Pride t-shirts during their arrivals to the stadium.

DRIVE SERIES PRESENTED BY DAN O'BRIEN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP

Wednesday night's New England Revolution Drive Series presented by Dan O'Brien Automotive Group will benefit the Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth (BAGLY) to support their Host Homes program. The Revs will be collecting household goods such as towels and sheets for Host Homes, an innovative, holistic program designed to address LGBTQ+ youth homelessness in Massachusetts for youth 18-24 years old.

Collections will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end 15 minutes after kickoff (approximately 7:45 p.m.), with collection locations at the CVS Health Gate, the Ticketmaster Gate, and between the E1 and E2 entrances. Everyone who makes a donation will receive a Revolution keychain courtesy of the New England Revolution Foundation and Dan O'Brien Automotive Group.

RECENT FORM VS. ORLANDO CITY SC

New England have owned the recent series with Orlando, going 4-0-3 in their last seven league meetings, including a victory in the 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs. Last year the Revs went 1-0-1 against the Lions, claiming a 2-1 win at Gillette Stadium (with the help of another Matt Turner penalty save on the now-departed Nani) and a 2-2 draw at Exploria Stadium courtesy of a late brace from substitute Adam Buksa. Overall the Revs are 5-0-1 against Orlando at home, including four straight victories in Foxborough dating back to 2017.

Orlando will arrive in Foxborough well rested having last played on May 28, suffering a 3-1 home loss to FC Dallas at Exploria Stadium. After missing the playoffs in each of their first five seasons, Orlando have reached the postseason in back-to-back years and currently sit above the playoff line in the East, largely on the strength of their road form. While they've stumbled to a 3-4-0 record at Exploria Stadium, Orlando have taken points from six of their seven road trips, going 3-1-3 away from home.

New England won't be as well rested having played on Sunday afternoon in the scorching Kansas City heat, but they did receive an emotional boost from Ema Boateng's dramatic late winner, guiding the Revs to a 2-1 victory. That result stretched the Revolution's unbeaten run in league play to six games (3-0-3) and pushed them into eighth place in the Eastern Conference, tied on points with sixth-place Charlotte FC and seventh-place FC Cincinnati.

It's still somewhat early on the MLS calendar, but with the Revs (5-5-4, 19 pts.) and Orlando (6-5-3, 21 pts.) separated by just two points in the East, this midweek showdown sets up as a potentially important six-pointer.

Overall Record vs. Orlando: 6-3-6
Home Record vs. Orlando: 5-0-1

Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Revs 2, Orlando 1 (September 25, 2021)
Last meeting at Exploria Stadium: Revs 2, Orlando 2 (October 24, 2021)

SHOW YOUR COLORS

The Revs will be sporting their new primary kit, “The Liberty.” The bespoke pattern is inspired by Boston’s Freedom Trail, a walking trail through the heart of Boston which passes 16 historical sites from the American Revolution – which gives a nod to the club name. This sleek new look will be paired with blue shorts, conveying a defiant, bold and strong look.

The club is reverting to blue shorts for the first time since 2013 to complement “The Liberty”. This is to convey a bold and strong one-color look, in-keeping with the New England’s defiant spirit while also enabling the new logo the chance to shine in its first time on a kit.

You can purchase “The Liberty” HERE.
