RECENT FORM VS. COLUMBUS CREW
New England went unbeaten (1-0-2) in a trio of meetings with Columbus last year, claiming a 1-0 win on May 16 at Gillette Stadium before playing to a pair of draws to close out the series. Tajon Buchanan and Gustavo Bou scored in a 2-2 draw to help spoil the party in the first-ever game at Lower.com Field in early July, while it was a 1-1 draw in Foxborough on September 18. Adam Buksa scored both of the Revolution's home goals against the Crew last season.
Last year's success snapped a string of four straight Revolution losses to the Crew, all by shutout, including defeat in the 2020 Eastern Conference Final in one of the final games played at the original Crew Stadium.
Columbus (3-3-3, 12 pts.) climbed to sixth in the East with a convincing 3-0 win over D.C. United last weekend, snapping a five-game winless run (0-3-2) in the process. While all three of their wins have been at home, they've also been a tough out on the road, drawing three of their four road games thus far in 2022.
The Revs have also been getting back on track, winning a second straight home game with last weekend's 2-0 triumph over Inter Miami CF. Boosted by the return of Matt Turner - who made his season debut - the Revs got a first MLS goal from Damian Rivera and yet another header from Adam Buksa to cruise to victory.
Saturday night presents a matchup of the 2020 MLS Cup champions against the 2021 Supporters' Shield champions, and that could mean fireworks in Foxborough.

SHOW YOUR COLORS
The Revs will be sporting their new primary kit, “The Liberty.” The bespoke pattern is inspired by Boston’s Freedom Trail, a walking trail through the heart of Boston which passes 16 historical sites from the American Revolution – which gives a nod to the club name. This sleek new look will be paired with blue shorts, conveying a defiant, bold and strong look.
The club is reverting to blue shorts for the first time since 2013 to complement “The Liberty”. This is to convey a bold and strong one-color look, in-keeping with the New England’s defiant spirit while also enabling the new logo the chance to shine in its first time on a kit.
You can purchase “The Liberty” HERE.
