RECENT FORM VS. CHARLOTTE FC

This will be just the second-ever match between the New England Revolution and Charlotte FC as the North Carolina expansion side joined the league for its inaugural season this year.

These two sides squared off approximately one month ago at Bank of America Stadium, where New England fell 3-1 to Charlotte FC in the club’s first-ever meeting. Charlotte’s Karol Świderski opened the scoring after connecting with an Alan Franco pass in the sixth minute. Carles Gil notched the lone goal for New England on a penalty kick in the 54th minute to level the playing field, however, Świderski and Ben Bender then scored second-half goals for Charlotte to give the hosts all three points.

Charlotte is 3-4-0 (nine points) to start the season. Since they picked up their first-ever win in club history a month ago, coincidentally against the Revs, Charlotte has won three of their last four games while netting six goals in that span.

Meanwhile, New England is 1-4-1 (four points) to start the year and has candidly struggled in the last month. The Revs suffered their fifth straight setback in all competitions this past weekend, falling 3-2 at Inter Miami CF. Of New England’s four league losses this season, the team conceded the game-winning goal in the 88th minute or later in three of them.

As the Revs play Charlotte for the second time in four weeks, they will aim to use this match as a means of setting a new tone for the winning ways they established as the 2021 Supporters' Shield winners.

With New England looking to snap out of their slump with five straight losses in all competitions and secure a win against Charlotte in their first-ever meeting at Gillette Stadium, this will be a game that you don’t want to miss.

The club is reverting to blue shorts for the first time since 2013 to complement “The Liberty”. This is to convey a bold and strong one-color look, in-keeping with the New England’s defiant spirit while also enabling the new logo the chance to shine in its first time on a kit.
