Lineup Notes:

  • Tonight’s Starting XI features four changes from last Saturday’s match at D.C. United as goalkeeper Matt Turner, defender Henry Kessler, midfielder Tommy McNamara and midfielder Damian Rivera start in place of Brad Knighton, Omar Gonzalez, Emmanuel Boateng, and Justin Rennicks
  • Reigning MLS Goalkeeper of the Year and 2021 Best XI selection Matt Turner makes his first start of the 2022 season, his seventh with the Revolution. Turner, making his 98th MLS regular season start tonight, owns a 41-25-30 career record with 21 clean sheets in league play.
  • With tonight’s start, Andrew Farrell becomes New England’s all-time leader in appearances (306) and games started (301) across all competitions, surpassing Shalrie Joseph (305) and Matt Reis (300), respectively. 
  • Adam Buksa has scored goals in two straight matches and now owns four tallies in all competitions in 2022. The Polish international ranks first in MLS with 11 headed goals (regular season and playoffs) since joining the league in 2020. 
  • Damian Rivera, a Homegrown Player from Cranston, R.I., earns his first career MLS start tonight. The 19-year-old Revolution Academy graduate has appeared in two games this season and most recently posted a career-best 32-minute shift off the bench last Saturday at D.C. United. 
  • Revolution captain Carles Gil collects his 70th start in MLS regular season play tonight. The Spanish midfielder logged his first two-assist performance of the season last Saturday at D.C. United, his ninth with the Revolution. Gil ranks among MLS leaders in assists (T-8th - 3), chances created (T-2nd - 29), and successful crosses (1st - 30). 
  • Sebastian Lletget has appeared in all eight MLS games this season, starting seven, with one goal and one assist. 
  • Matt Polster, who has also played in every game this season, ranks first on the team in interceptions (11) and second in minutes played (643). 
  • Tommy McNamara enters tonight’s match just 30 minutes shy of surpassing 11,000 minutes played in MLS.
  • Brandon Bye scored his second goal of the season in last weekend’s contest, matching his career high just in just six games played in 2022. The fifth-year pro ranks rank among the top defenders in goals scored (T-1st - 2), successful crosses (T-3rd - 13), chances created (T-4th - 13), and touches in the opposing box (7th - 18).
  • DeJuan Jones also ranks among the league’s top defenders in several attacking categories, including assists (T-4th - 3), chances created (T-4th - 13), and successful crosses (5th - 10).
  • Henry Kessler returns to the Starting XI for the first time since New England’s most recent encounter with Inter Miami CF on April 9.

Bench Notes: 

  • Djordje Petrović makes his first appearance on New England’s matchday roster. The 22-year-old Serbian goalkeeper joined New England last week after his transfer to the Revolution was completed in early April.
  • Jozy Altidore has appeared in all but one match this season, starting two. The veteran striker is a native of Boca Raton, Fla. 
  • Emmanuel Boateng registered his first assist of the season in last Saturday’s match. The seventh-year midfielder has tallied three goals and five assists over 18 games played in a Revolution uniform. 
  • Homegrown Player Justin Rennicks has posted five appearances and four starts in 2022. Rennicks netted his first MLS goal in New England’s previous meeting with Inter Miami CF on April 9 in Fort Lauderdale. 
  • Omar Gonzalez recorded his 250th MLS appearance last weekend. The veteran defender has played in six matches, starting four. 
  • Arnór Traustason, celebrating his 29th birthday today, is tied with Adam Buksa (2) for the team lead in goals scored against Inter Miami CF. The Icelandic winger logged one assist when the Revolution visited the Herons on April 9.
