FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (6-5-7; 25 pts.) played to a 2-2 draw with FC Cincinnati (7-7-4, 25 pts.) on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium behind goals from Dylan Borrero and Gustavo Bou. With the result, New England extended its unbeaten streak to 10 games in MLS play, the longest streak in MLS this season and tied for the third longest undefeated stretch in club history.

Borrero, making his fifth consecutive start, put the Revolution ahead in the 30th minute as the Colombian fired a left-footed shot into the far corner off a feed from Sebastian Lletget. Lletget, who had missed the last two games with an injury, picked up his fourth assist of the season on the play.

Cincinnati equalized 11 minutes later on a Henry Kessler own goal. Kessler made his return to the starting lineup for the first time since May 15 at Atlanta, playing 45 minutes on the night before being withdrawn at halftime for Jon Bell in a planned substitution.

In the second half, Emmanuel Boateng entered for an injured Borrero and yet again made an impact off the bench. The Ghanaian midfielder provided the cross on Gustavo Bou’s fourth goal of the season, a glancing header to the back post. DeJuan Jones was credited with a second assist on the play – his fourth helper of the campaign.

Cincinnati nearly equalized in the 69th minute but was denied by a double save from Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrović. The Serbian saved the first shot, which deflected off defender Brandon Bye, before stopping a point-blank effort on the rebound to preserve the lead. Cincinnati’s persistence paid off as the visitors capitalized on Revolution giveaway in the 73rd minute, leading to the tying goal by Brenner.

The Revolution embark on a three-game road swing beginning Saturday afternoon with their first regular season meeting against reigning MLS Cup champion New York City FC. The match at Yankee Stadium kicks off a 1:00 p.m. ET and airs nationally on Univision in Spanish, while streaming via Twitter in English. Saturday’s contest also airs locally on the radio via 98.5 The Sports Hub and 1260 AM Nossa Radio in Portuguese.

• The Revolution extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games (4-0-6) dating back to April 30. The streak is tied for the third longest in club history, only one game shy of the club record (11 games – 2019 and 2005). 
• New England extended its home unbeaten streak to eight games across all competitions (4-0-4) dating back to April 16. This season, the Revolution are 6-2-4 overall and 4-2-4 in league play at Gillette Stadium.
• The draw was the first in the all-time series with FC Cincinnati and extended New England’s unbeaten run against the Orange and Blue to six games (5-0-1) across all competitions.

• Dylan Borrero scored the opening goal for New England – the second straight home game he has tallied for the Revolution. Borrero played 45 minutes and finished with three shots, two on target, and six duels won before being subbed off due to injury.
• Sebastian Lletget returned from injury to make his 15th appearance of the campaign. The midfielder tallied his fourth assist of the season on New England’s opening goal.
• Gustavo Bou notched his 60th MLS start on Sunday, marking the occasion with his fourth goal of the season. For the second straight match, ‘La Pantera’ registered eight shots with three on target. Of his 33 goals, tonight’s tally was only Bou’s second headed goal with New England. 
• Emmanuel Boateng replaced the injured Dylan Borrero at halftime and tallied his seventh assist in a Revolution uniform, his third of the 2022 campaign. Boateng continues to lead MLS with 1.15 combined goals and assists per 90 minutes since signing with the Revolution in 2021.
• DeJuan Jones was credited with a second assist on Bou’s goal and now ranks second among MLS defenders in combined goals and assists since the start of 2020.
• Henry Kessler also rejoined the Starting XI for the first time since May 15 at Atlanta United, playing 45 minutes, and completed 27 of his 28 passes.
• Brandon Bye returned to the starting lineup after missing last weekend’s game due to injury. The defender won six of his seven aerial duels and added a team-high seven recoveries, including three in the final third.
• Carles Gil recorded team highs in chances created (3), duels won (8) and successful dribbles (4).
