4-25-26 vs. NYCFC (40)

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (September 18, 2026) – All five of the New England Revolution Academy teams were back in action this past weekend, hosting New York City FC on Saturday before welcoming regional rival Boston Bolts on Sunday to the Revolution Training Center.

The Under-18s split the weekend's results, first claiming a 3-1 win over New York City FC before falling 3-1 to Boston Bolts. In the Saturday triumph, Ben Quirino (2009 - Chelsea, Mass.) led the offensive efforts with a goal-and-assist performance, while Isaac Twumasi (2010 - Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Daniel Dixon (2008 - Yardley, Pa.) also got on the scoresheet with a goal and an assist, respectively. In New England's 3-1 loss to its regional rival, Paola Tornberg (2009 - Revere, Mass.) opened the scoring off of an Ivan Villalobos Lopez (2009 - Lumberton, N.C.) assist in the 19th minute, but the Boston Bolts surged with three unanswered goals to claim the result.

At the Under-16s level, the Revolution opened their weekend action with a 2-0 loss to New York City FC, but responded with a 2-0 shutout win over Boston Bolts. New England saw three different players etch their name onto the scoresheet in Sunday's win, with Landon Ho Sang (2011 - Springfield, Mass.) and Rico Janairo (2011 - Auburndale, Mass.) each finding the back of the net, while Shayne Dos Santos (2011 - Arlington, Mass.) distributed the match's lone assist. In goal, Nate Brown (2011 - Brentwood, N.H.) helped secure the shutout victory.

The Under-15s also split their weekend results, first earning a 3-2 win over New York City FC before falling 6-2 to the Boston Bolts. New England secured its victory on Saturday with goals from Rodrigo Machado (2012 - Pawtucket, R.I.), Brennan McWeeny (2012 - East Milton, Mass.), and Darragh Nugent (2012 - Braintree, Mass.). New York City mounted a late comeback attempt with two second-half goals, but the Revolution's defense held firm to secure the result. In Sunday's fixture, the Boston Bolts raced out to a 5-0 lead before New England attempted to rally back into the match. Jayden Lefter (2012 - Milford, Mass.) headlined the performance with a goal and an assist, but the regional rival added another goal to halt the Revolution's momentum and seal the victory.

In other Academy action, the Under-14s opened their weekend with an 8-2 loss to New York City FC before claiming a 4-2 victory over the Boston Bolts. Nichollas Texeira (2013 - Rockland, Mass.) enjoyed a standout weekend, recording four goal contributions across the two matches. Against NYCFC, Texeira and James O'Connor (2013 - Coventry Lake, Conn.) accounted for the Revolution's two goals, but the visitors scored eight times to secure the win. New England returned to the win column on Sunday, as Texeira tallied two goals and an assist, while Kauan Nascimento (2013 - Andover, Mass.) and O'Connor also found the back of the net en route to a 4-2 victory over the Bolts.

The Under-13s rounded out the weekend's Academy action, falling 3-2 to New York City FC on Saturday before earning a dominant 6-1 win over the Boston Bolts on Sunday. Against NYCFC, Lucca Alden-Dunn (2014 - Dover, Mass.) led the attack with a goal-and-assist performance, while Kenny Greiner (2014 - Belmont, Mass.) and Teddy Berntorp (2014 - Newton, Mass.) also found the back of the net for New England. On Sunday, the Bolts struck first in the 13th minute, but the Revolution responded with six unanswered goals from six different players to secure the victory. Finding the back of the net for New England were JR Rodriguez (2014 - Enfield, Conn.), Berntorp, Artur Grzybacz (2014 - Cumberland, R.I.), Cam Danis (2014 - Franklin, Mass.), Amare Laurent (2014 - Windsor, Conn.), and Keaton Bradford-Rivera (2014 - Glastonbury Center, Conn.).
