SALUTE TO HEROES

Saturday night will mark the Revolution's annual Salute to Heroes, celebrating those who keep our communities safe on a daily basis by honoring local military, police, fire, and first responders through a variety of programming. This year's elements will include several concourse activations, a pregame flag unfurling, and a special Hero of the Match honoring all active and retired military and first responders in attendance. The halftime bubble soccer game will also feature a unique matchup between Army and Navy.

On the field, Revolution players will wear jerseys featuring Salute to Heroes patches, and those jerseys will be auctioned off for charity in the weeks following the match.

Finally, the evening will conclude with a special fireworks display.

RECENT FORM VS. CHICAGO FIRE FC

The Revs are unbeaten (3-0-5) in eight meetings with the Fire since Bruce Arena took charge in May 2019, though four of the last five showdowns have ended in draws dating back to the start of the 2021 season. While the Revs have held the upper hand in the recent series, they've also struggled to beat the Fire at Gillette Stadium, drawing three straight meetings in Foxborough dating back to the home opener in 2020.

New England (7-3-3, 24 pts.) raced to the top of the Supporters' Shield standings with one of the best starts in club history this season, but they've hit their first speed bump in recent weeks with back-to-back losses at Miami and Philadelphia to follow up an eight-game unbeaten run. Those results have seen the Revs drop to third in the Eastern Conference, though they're just one point back of Nashville SC with a game in hand and could climb back into second by Saturday night.

Chicago (3-4-6, 15 pts.) has spent the better part of the last decade searching for the right formula as the Fire have reached the playoffs just once in the last 10 years, and not since 2017. That search continues as the club parted ways with head coach Ezra Hendrickson earlier this month, now led by interim boss Frank Klopas, who has served in several roles for the Fire throughout the years. In terms of results, Chicago remain unbeaten (2-0-6) at Soldier Field following last weekend's dramatic 3-3 draw with Atlanta United, but they've managed just one win on five road trips (1-4-0).

This will be the Revolution's only home game on the league schedule in the month of May, as they'll return to the road next week for a two-game trip to visit Atlanta United FC (Wednesday) and New York City FC (Saturday).
