RECENT FORM VS. TORONTO FC
Wednesday's showdown will be the second between the Revs and TFC in a matter of weeks, as these sides met at Gillette Stadium on July 30, battling to a 0-0 draw thanks to Djordje Petrović's late penalty save on Lorenzo Insigne. Now they'll head north of the border to BMO Field, where the Revs claimed a 2-1 win on their most recent visit last August, snapping what had been a string of four straight losses in Toronto.
Toronto FC have been a completely rejuvenated side in recent weeks, bolstered by several new arrivals and highlighted by the DP duo of Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi. In fact, TFC are unbeaten since they debuted in a 4-0 win over Charlotte FC on July 23, going 3-0-1 and scoring 11 goals in those four games. Bob Bradley's side was most recently at home this past weekend, claiming a 3-1 win over the Portland Timbers that keeps Toronto within four points of the final playoff place in the Eastern Conference.
Tied for that final playoff place in the East are the Revs, who have registered back-to-back league wins for the first time this season with a 3-0 road triumph over Orlando City SC and a 1-0 home victory over D.C. United. Petrović and a string of team defensive performances have been key as the Revs have kept four straight clean sheets for the first time since 2013, with the league's longest active shutout streak at 371 minutes. Included in that stretch are shutouts on their last two road trips to Orlando and Columbus.
Wednesday night is another six-pointer that begins a critical week for the Revs, who'll travel directly from Toronto to Montreal for a weekend visit to Stade Saputo and the second-place team in the East.

The Revs will be sporting their sleek secondary kits, which take inspiration from the block work of American Revolution Era war forts in the New England area. This kit also pays homage to The Fort - the club's dedicated supporters' sections at Gillette Stadium - and features a fort-inspired blocked white shirt with a monochromatic Revolution logo, white shorts, and sky-blue socks.
