RECENT FORM VS. FC CINCINNATI
Saturday's showdown will be the second meeting in just 11 days between these sides, as the Revs rolled to a 5-1 win over a heavily-rotated FC Cincinnati group in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 last Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium. That was New England's fourth straight win in the series since dropping the first-ever meeting in 2019, including shutout victories on both previous trips to Cincinnati in 2019 (2-0) and 2021 (1-0).
However, FCC have been a much different side in 2022 under first-year head coach Pat Noonan, who has already guided the Orange and Blue to six league wins, two more than they had in the entirety of the 2021 campaign. Four of those victories have come during their current winning streak, which includes triumphs over Toronto FC (x2), Minnesota United, and Chicago Fire FC.
The Revs, meanwhile, continue to trend in the right direction with a 2-2 draw this past Sunday afternoon in Atlanta. Adam Buksa stayed red hot with another brace - he now has eight goals during a six-game scoring streak in all competitions - and New England picked up their first road point since the season opener in Portland. While they remain in search of that elusive first road win, the Revs are now 3-1-2 in their last six games in all competitions.
Now just about one-third of the way through the regular season and pushing towards the all-important summer months, Saturday's match provides a massive test for the Revs against one of the East's in-form sides.

The Revs will be sporting their sleek secondary kits, which take inspiration from the block work of American Revolution Era war forts in the New England area. This kit also pays homage to The Fort - the club's dedicated supporters' sections at Gillette Stadium - and features a fort-inspired blocked white shirt with a monochromatic Revolution logo, white shorts, and sky-blue socks.
