Through 30 years of New England Revolution soccer, few figures have been more impactful than Jay Heaps. A New England native and longtime fan favorite, Heaps spent nine years with the club as a player, six as the Revolution's head coach, and two as a color analyst on broadcasts alongside play-by-play man Brad Feldman. To this day, Heaps ranks top 10 in club history in games played, games started, and minutes played.

To close out this year's historical series on the Far Post Podcast presented by MA250, Heaps joined the crew to tell his wildest stories from the early days of MLS, recount his many run-ins with referees (as both a player and coach), and re-live the club's magical run to an Eastern Conference title in 2014.
