New England Revolution stars Tajon Buchanan and Matt Turner begin their quest for international glory on Sunday night as both will open Group B action in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Buchanan and Canada will kick things off against Martinique at 6:30 p.m. ET (FS1, TUDN), as the confident Canadians aim to build upon their ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign. A two-legged win over Haiti last month saw the Canucks advance to the final round of World Cup Qualifying for the first time since 1998, and Buchanan played a role throughout, making his first four appearances with the senior team during those most recent qualifiers. The 22-year-old winger has three goals and three assists for the Revolution this season, both career highs.

Shortly after Canada and Martinique open Group B action, Turner and the U.S. Men's National Team will begin their Gold Cup campaign against Haiti (9 p.m. ET, FS1, TUDN). Turner, who made his national team debut this past January with a penalty save and a clean sheet in a 7-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago, is the presumptive starting goalkeeper for the USMNT, which is eyeing a second straight trophy after claiming the Concacaf Nations League title last month. Now in his sixth professional season, Turner is an early frontrunner for MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.

There's also a third Revolution connection in Group B as François Dulysse, who has made six appearances for Revolution II this season after being selected by the Revs in the second round of the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, is part of the Haiti squad.

Canada will face Haiti and the United States will battle Martinique in the second matches of the group stage on Thursday, July 15, before Buchanan and Turner will square off against each other in the group finale on Sunday, July 18.
