Assistant Athletic Trainer
Alex Forehan is in his third season with the New England Revolution as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Working alongside the club’s Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer Eric Schwartz, Forehan brings seven years of sports medicine experience to New England’s athletic training staff, where he works directly with the club’s MLS athletes assisting with medical treatment, manage injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
Before arriving in New England in August 2024, Forehan spent three years as the Head Athletic Trainer for Red Oak Independent School District in Texas beginning in June 2021. He previously served as Director of Sports Medicine for the Muenster Independent School District from June 2018 until December 2019. Between those two positions, Forehan held the full-time role of Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Louisiana Monroe from 2019-2021.
A native of Morning View, KY, Forehan earned his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky, graduating in 2016. He went on to earn a master's degree in athletic training from the University of Arkansas in 2018. Forehan began serving as coordinator of New England’s Athletic Training Fellowship and Athletic Training Immersion programs in 2025. Forehan has presented on numerous Sports Medicine topics at various conferences at the national and international level.
